I spent fourteen years in fintech. I know what it looks like when a business is built to take as much as it can from people at their most vulnerable — and I know it does not have to be that way.

In 2025 my brother died. When I looked into having his fingerprint engraved onto something I could keep, a shop quoted me almost two hundred dollars for a lighter. Not for the craft. For the moment I was in.

So I built something better. Moonlit is careful, personal work, made by hand and made fairly — for the people we miss, and just as much for the people we love. Every piece ships with the film of it being made, so “handmade” is something you can watch, not something you have to take on faith.

It started with fingerprints. It grew into handwriting, photographs, pets, family recipes, and the milestones people want to hold onto — a wedding, a retirement, a senior season, a service well done. The thread is the same: take something that actually means something, and make it into a piece worth keeping, or giving.
